Seppo Taatila Appointed Ponsse's Director of Technology and R & D

Mr Seppo Taatila (53), M.Sc. (Eng.), has been appointed Director of Technology and
R & D at Ponsse Oyj. He will be responsible for the company’s product development
with regard to forest machines and related information systems and new
technologies. Mr Taatila will start in his new position during the year 2006. He
has also been invited to become a member of Ponsse’s Management Team. He will
report to the President and CEO of the group.

"Mr Taatila has previously served as Technology Director of international forest
machine operations at John Deere, building a significant career within the forest
machine industry. The significant production investments currently underway will
also provide product development with new opportunities. Nomination strengthens
Ponsse´s strong internationalization strategy. We will continue to carry
out product development on the basis of our customers' needs," says Mr Tiitinen,
President and CEO of Ponsse Oyj.
