Den 17 februari överlämnades skogsmaskin nummer 19 000 från Ponsse till den långvariga skotska kunden Elliot Henderson Ltd, samtidigt som Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band spelade i bakgrunden. PONSSE Scorpion Giant-skördaren är försedd med ett H8-skördaraggregat och kommer att arbeta på avverkningsplatser i områdena Scottish Borders och Scottish Lowlands.

PONSSE HH360 rotator for harvester head
Ponsse launches new PONSSE HH360 harvester head rotator. The new rotator is an innovative solution in which the harvester head can rotate 360° degrees freely without limitations. With PONSSE HH360 the hoses stay in a fixed position from crane tip to rotator, all the time. Now launched rotator enables the harvester head rotating freely without worry about unexpected downtime caused from twisted hoses.

Ponsse North America, Inc has expanded its operations to Midway, Florida which is right outside of Tallahassee. The main factors that influenced this development are the growing demand for cut-tolength wood and an increase in machine sales in the south. THL initiated cooperation with Savo Vocational College, Finnish Forest Industries Federation and Ponsse to increase the number of women in the forest sector
The aim of the Dismantling Segregation project carried out by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is to dismantle gender segregation in working life. The project aims to increase the number of women in the forest sector together with Savo Vocational College, Finnish Forest Industries Federation and Ponsse. The project offers training and tools for partners to dismantle gender segregation in the forest sector. At the same time, the aim is to strengthen regional cooperation in Eastern Finland.
