OOO PONSSE’S NEW PRESIDENT

Ville Siekkinen (49) has been appointed President of OOO Ponsse, Ponsse’s Russian
subsidiary, as of 1 May 2005.

Siekkinen previously worked as Rautaruukki’s CIS Area Director in Moscow for five
years and before that, in the 1990s, as the company’s CFO. His other positions
include three years as Tampella’s CFO and Administrative Director in Italy.

In his new position as OOO Ponsse’s President, Siekkinen will be responsible for
the company’s operations and developing its maintenance and sales network in the
growing Russian market. He finds that modern harvesting technology has excellent
growth potential in Russia since old harvesting equipment must be renovated and
harvested volumes are increasing rapidly. Efficiency and quality-based thinking
are also making a breakthrough in the country. "Together with the energy and metal
industry sectors, forestry will form Russia’s third large industrial sector",
Siekkinen affirms.
