PONSSE TO DEVELOP COMPETITIVENESS IN NORTH AMERICA

Established in 1995, Ponsse USA, Inc. will extend its operations to cover all
North American operations and be renamed Ponsse North America Inc. Assuming
total responsibility for the development of Ponsse’s maintenance and
distribution network in North America, the company will extend its distribution
network through private dealers. Its dealers in Canada include A.L.P.A.
Equipment Ltd., Hydromec Inc. and ReadyQuip Equipment Sales Ltd.

"This reorganisation will intensify our presence, customer and dealer support
and improve our cost-efficiency and organisational competitiveness in the
expanding North American market", explains Arto Tiitinen, Ponsse Oyj’s
President and CEO.

With its North American headquarters based in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, the
company also runs service centres in Michigan and Minnesota.
Mikko Laurila (34), Ponsse USA, Inc.’s President, will continue as the new
company’s President.
