Ponsse signs partnership agreement with SKS Group Oy

Ponsse Oyj has signed a partnership agreement with SKS Group. The purpose of the
agreement is to improve competitiveness and possibility to answer future
challenges even more efficiently.

The production of SKS Connecto Oy, a subsidiary of SKS Group, and know-how of
approximately 30 employees of the company will be transferred to Vieremä. The
company will be located in new premises in the Ponsse partnership company park.
The close location aims at gaining flexibility in production and decreasing the
need for storage. The partnership agreement promotes active cooperation in, for
example, product development and ensures the utilisation of best technologies in
the production of PONSSE forest machines.

“We place emphasis on developing our supplier network and building a partnership
network that will guarantee the high quality and competitiveness of our
products. We are looking for partners who meet our high quality requirements and
are able to respond to the needs of our customer controlled production. The
agreement does not affect the number of personnel in Ponsse's factory in
Vieremä," says Arto Tiitinen, President and CEO of Ponsse Oyj.

SKS Group serves industry in the solutions of machinery manufacturing and device
production from the importing of components to the delivery of systems. The
group's turnover in 2006 was 120.2 million euros and the number of personnel was
about 600. The special fields of SKS Connecto Oy are customer-specific
high-quality solutions and contract manufacturing, including engineering and
assembly services and the manufacture of cable and wiring systems. The company
is the market leader in its field in Finland. SKS Connecto's turnover in 2006
was 17.2 million euros and the number of employees is about 130.
