PONSSE TO DOUBLE PRODUCTION CAPACITY TO MEET DEMAND
€10 million investments at Vieremä

The municipality of Vieremä is to build additional production premises at Ponsse’s
factory in Vieremä during 2005 and 2006 and to lease the premises to Ponsse. The
first stage of the project involves an enlargement of the assembly plant and the
second an enlargement of the components factory. The total surface area of the new
premises is around 4,100 square metres and the cost estimate €4.1 million. These
new premises will double Ponsse’s production capacity. Meeting on 18 February
2005, Vieremä municipal council unanimously gave the go-ahead to be involved in
the project.

Ponsse Oyj is to invest some €6 million in Vieremä during 2005 and 2006. These
investments comprise equipment and machinery at the Vieremä factory, the customer
service centre and the Ponsse Academy premises.

After these investments, Ponsse’s premises at Vieremä will total 20,000 square
metres.
