PAULA OKSMAN APPOINTED PONSSE OYJ´S HR DIRECTOR

Mrs. Paula Oksman, 46, M.A., has been appointed HR Director of Ponsse Oyj and
Principal of the Ponsse Academy, both new positions at Ponsse. Oksman will be
responsible for Ponsse Group’s human resources management and personnel competence
development internationally.

She will also manage the development of the Ponsse Academy learning environment
and thereby training targeted at both Ponsse employees and other stakeholders.
Oksman previously worked as HR Manager at Genencor International Inc. in
Jämsänkoski, and prior to that as Chief Training Manager at the Continuing
Education Centre of the University of Jyväskylä.

Oksman will assume her position on 1 August 2005 and report to Arto Tiitinen,
President and CEO of Ponsse. She will be a member of Ponsse Oyj´s management team.
