Ponsse is introducing firefighting equipment to be installed in the load spaces of forwarders for extinguishing wildfires.
16,000th PONSSE forest machine completed
The 16,000th PONSSE forest machine was completed in the end of September at Ponsse’s factory in Vieremä, Finland. The PONSSE Ergo harvester delivered to Celulose Nipo-Brasileira S.A. (CENIBRA) will operate at eucalyptus plantations in Brazil to meet the needs of local pulp production.

A new retailer for Ponsse in Romania
Ponsse Plc has a new retailer in Romania. IRUM is the official retailer of Ponsse since the beginning of April 2020, responsible for the sale and maintenance of PONSSE forest machines. The change is carried out to strengthen the after-sales service for PONSSE customers in Romania.
New retailer for Ponsse in South Africa
Starting from 2 June 2020, Ponsse’s retailer in South Africa will be M.T.S. Parts CC. The company will start as Ponsse’s official retailer, being responsible for the sale and maintenance of PONSSE forest machines, as well as spare parts services in South Africa. Green Projects, Ponsse’s current service provider in South Africa, will continue as Ponsse’s retailer until 1 June 2020.

Ponsse celebrates its 50th anniversary
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Ponsse Plc. Today, the family-owned company, which started from the dream of forest machine entrepreneur Einari Vidgrén in a small village workshop, operates in harvesting markets in 40 different countries. During these 50 years, the company has become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of forest machines based on the environmentally friendly cut-to-length method.
Ponsse to start cooperation with Tampere University
Ponsse and Tampere University have today signed a cooperation agreement to support research and education at Tampere University (TAU) and to strengthen the competence of Ponsse Group’s personnel.
