Hannu Kivelä appointed Development Director of Ponsse

Hannu Kivelä (41), M.Sc. (Forestry), has been appointed as Director at Ponsse
Oyj with responsibility for cooperation between Ponsse Group and forestry
companies as well as the development of the CTL method in all of the Group's
markets. Kivelä is also responsible for the development of the Group's strategy.

"Hannu Kivelä's broad experience with the international forest economy and
development projects, management tasks in wood procurement and knowledge of
forest technology gives him a strong background for his new duties," said Arto
Tiitinen, President and CEO of Ponsse Oyj. Hannu Kivelä leaves his position as a
counsellor, forestry affairs, at the Embassy of Finland in Moscow to join Ponsse
Oyj. In the past, Kivelä has served, for example, as a Leading Consultant at
Jaakko Pöyry Consulting specializing in bioenergy and Russia's forest economy
and forest industry.

Kivelä will assume his new duties on 1 December 2007 and will report directly to
the Group's President and CEO.
