Epec Oy’s employee co-operation negotiations concluded

The employee co-operation negotiations which started on 13 of March 2017 in Epec Oy have been concluded. The goal of the negotiations was to adjust the operations of Epec Oy to the market situation and to enhance operations to ensure future competitiveness and profitability. 

After the measures agreed on in the cooperation negotiations, the number of personnel in Epec Oy’s Finnish operations will be 96 on 1 January 2018, compared to 119 at the beginning of the negotiations. The number of permanent employment contracts to be terminated is 16. There will be no temporary lay-offs. 

Ponsse Plc's subsidiary Epec Oy designs and manufactures embedded control systems for mobile work machines. The company delivers control systems for agricultural, rock processing, forestry, mining and waste handling machines, among others. Based in Seinäjoki, the company was established in 1978 and transferred to Ponsse's ownership in 2004.
