The Opti4G information system used in the Ponsse harvesters is the most advanced, versatile technology on the market. Clear and easy to use, the 4G helps the operator mark and measure trunks with millimetre precision.The system is based on an ordinary Windows operating system and personal computer, which makes it easy to install data transfer and map applications on the harvester.
In modern customer-driven wood procurement, trunks are cut on-site at the stump to meet end user needs. Opti automation guides the trunk cutting according to customer orders input into the system.
