The continuous adjustment of compression pressures of the PONSSE 550-750 series harvester head knives and rollers and the load sensing main valve reduce energy consumption, improve the temperature balance and reduce operating costs. The hydraulic piston motors withstand high pressures and produce a high starting torque. A four- roller feed is ideally suited to difficult conditions with many limbs, requiring a lot of feeding force. The four-roller feed operates with lower gripping pressure, making it a gentler option. The unique movement geometry of these feed rollers guarantees a powerful fast feeding and even firmed grip. Cutting power is automatically adjusted based on the trunk diameter, preventing cutting damage.
