More than 700 guests took part in the inauguration of the component factory and night logging

On 15 January 2007 Ponsse celebrated the inauguration of a component factory and organised the first ever PONSSE night logging. More than 700 forestry professionals and journalists from across the world were present.

The component factory built together with the municipality of Vieremä was festively inaugurated by Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, who stated in his speech that erecting the new component factory is a good indication of the growth of the company and of sound confidence in the future. “Ponsse is a prime example of Finnish expertise in which practical technical knowledge is combined with reliability and efficient customer service,” praised Prime Minister Vanhanen.

During the day it was open house for customers and other partners and after the inauguration we moved on to night logging at Einari’s home farm in Mäkelä. The numerous guests enjoyed themselves with us in the sharp frosty weather, where the PONSSE product range was introduced. The novelties, the POSSE Bear harvester, the PONSSE Elephant forwarder, the PONSSE H8 harvester head and the PONSSE C55 and C33 parallel cranes, aroused particular interest in the guests. A wide range of used machinery and our maintenance services were also introduced.

The arrangements for the night logging were carefully prepared as it was a starter for Ponsse’s Road Show 2007 tour, which will start touring Europe after the Southern Finland logging event (on 14 February 2007). Ponsse’s Road Show truck, which will transport the tour, was also introduced to the public on the logging site. You may follow the passage of the truck on our website www.ponsse.com.

Warm thanks to all of our guests for your participation! It was nice to meet again!
