1990 - Subsidiaries and Quotation on the OTC List

Finnish quality was rewarded when Ponsse became the first ISO 9001-certified forest machine manufacturer in 1994. This led to intensified R&D work for the machines and the need to expand the factory. Superior quality control contributed to Ponsse's forward momentum.

Ponsse flourished during the 1990s; the product family expanded and the Ponsse Opti, an advanced measurement and information system for forest machines, was launched on the market. Ponsse shares were publicly quoted on the Helsinki Exchanges and subsidiaries were founded in Sweden, the USA, France and the UK. To keep up with the increasing demand, production facilities were expanded and a new surface treatment department began its operations.
